Order and Bill Messages by SMS and WhatsApp
The system sends order confirmations, delivery updates and bills to customers by SMS or WhatsApp. Messages follow the order record. The customer hears about the same order the shop is handling.
What customers receive
Why messages follow the order
Messages come from the same order record that staff and riders use, so nobody types a separate update to the customer. When the rider marks an order delivered, that status is what the message reports. The messages go out alongside the order list, and staff at the counter keep working as before.
What depends on SMS and WhatsApp
Both channels depend on outside services. The wording of each message, the sender details and what the SMS and WhatsApp providers require are confirmed during scoping. Charges made by those providers are separate from the software and are discussed with the shop at that stage.
What the shop decides
- Which messages are switched on for customers.
- Whether a customer receives SMS, WhatsApp or both.
- The wording of confirmations and delivery updates.
- Messages only report orders that are recorded in the system.
Frequently asked questions
Can the customer get a bill on WhatsApp?
Yes. Bills can go to customers by SMS or WhatsApp. The shop still prints the GST bill at the counter as usual.
Are delivery updates sent automatically?
Yes. They follow the status the rider sets on the phone. Which updates are switched on is agreed with the shop.
Does this read customers’ WhatsApp messages?
No. Orders arriving on WhatsApp are entered by staff. This module sends messages out to customers from the order record.
Who sets up the SMS and WhatsApp connection?
Our team does, during implementation. What each provider needs is confirmed during scoping, before anything is switched on.
