Reports and Dashboards for Grocery Store Owners
The grocery system reports sales, item movement, khata dues, purchases, expenses, profit and rider deliveries. Each report reads from the module where entries are made. Figures follow the day’s work.
Seven reports and where they come from
The owner’s dashboard
Sales, stock, khata dues, expenses and the day’s profit are on one dashboard, which the owner opens on a phone as well as on a laptop. Low-stock alerts also appear there, before an item is out. At close of day, the same figures sit together for review.
Who acts on which report
Profit and khata dues are for the owner. Whoever buys stock reads fast and slow movers and purchases by supplier, and the accountant works from the exports. Riders do not see these reports. Counter staff see them only if the owner allows it.
What the figures reflect
Each figure is drawn from entries already made. Sales must be billed, purchases entered and expenses posted for a report to be complete. A figure that looks wrong usually points to an entry that has not yet been made.
Frequently asked questions
Is the dashboard live?
Yes. It reads the current records. Sales, stock and khata dues change as bills and payments are entered at the counter.
Does it file the GST return?
No. It prints GST bills and exports sales and purchase reports. The shop’s accountant files the return.
Can reports for more than one store be seen?
Yes, per outlet and together, for businesses with two or three stores. The setup is agreed with the shop during implementation.
Can I see reports away from the shop?
Yes. The owner can open sales, stock, khata dues, expenses and profit from a phone or a laptop, from anywhere with a connection. Nothing needs to be carried home.
