Staff Logins and Permissions for Grocery Stores
Owners, counter staff and riders each log in to their own screens. Counter staff cannot edit prices or see profit unless the owner allows it, so each person sees only what their work needs.
Who gets which screen
What counter staff cannot do
Cashiers cannot edit prices or see profit unless the owner allows it. Khata balances can also be kept to the owner’s login. These limits are set during implementation, and the owner can ask for changes as the shop’s needs change. The aim is simple. Billing stays fast, and margins stay with the person who sets the prices.
Each person logs in as themselves
Every bill and every entry carries the login that made it. The owner can bill at the counter with a separate owner login, and those bills appear in the same sales list as everyone else’s. A shared login would remove that record, so the shop gives each person their own.
What the owner decides
- Who holds an owner login and who holds a counter login.
- Whether the counter login may see khata balances or stock cost.
- Which riders get logins and on which Android phones.
- When a login is added or closed as staff change.
Frequently asked questions
Can counter staff change an item’s price?
No, unless the owner allows it. Prices are edited from the owner’s login, and the counter screen is kept to billing.
Can the owner also bill at the counter?
Yes, with a separate owner login. Bills made by the owner appear in the same sales list as everyone else’s.
What does a rider see?
The orders assigned to that rider, with the address and items, and two buttons to mark an order delivered and paid. Nothing else is shown.
Who sets up the permissions?
Our team does during implementation, with the owner. The owner can ask for changes later as roles in the shop change.
