Reports for Jewellery Showroom Owners
These reports gather stock, karigar metal, old gold, scheme dues, approvals and sales into views read from the live records. Each one is built from entries the counter and the workshop already make.
Reading the shop by weight
A jewellery showroom counts in grams as well as in rupees. The reports start from weight and purity and then add the value. Each figure is read from tags, bills and karigar entries, so a report is only as complete as the records behind it.
The reports
Who acts on them
The owner reads stock, karigar balances and late approvals. The workshop in-charge reads the metal each bench holds. The accountant uses the sales and GST summary and the old gold figures. Counter staff do not need the karigar report, and permissions keep it away from them.
What the figures reflect
The reports show what has been recorded. A report is complete only once the tag is entered, the bill raised and the karigar return received. Extra reports beyond this list are scoped with the showroom when the work is planned, provided the figures are already entered.
- Reports follow the permissions of each login
- Day close brings the main figures onto one screen
- The night count is read tag by tag against the record
- GST filing remains with the showroom and its accountant
Frequently asked questions
Is the stock report live?
Yes. Reports are drawn from the latest entries, and they move whenever tags, bills and returns are entered.
Can a report show old gold taken in each day?
Yes. Old gold taken in is one of the reports and is listed day by day, with the metal received at the counter.
Does it file the GST return?
No. It prepares a sales and GST summary for your accountant. The showroom and its accountant handle the return itself.
Can a report be added to this list?
Yes, for anything already entered in the software. The extra report is settled with the showroom at set-up.
Can the owner read reports from home?
Yes. Reports open in a browser, so the owner can read them away from the shop.
