Integrations for Loan Management Software

The loan system connects to Tally, SMS, WhatsApp, email, UPI and payment gateways. Each is described here with what depends on the other system and what is agreed during scoping.

The connections

Tally

Collections, disbursements and interest export as entries the accountant can bring into Tally. Tally stays the book for final accounts, and nothing posts into it by itself.

SMS

Reminders go out before a due date and again when the account slips into an overdue bucket, sent from the loan record to the number held for the borrower. No one retypes it.

WhatsApp

A reminder can reach the borrower on WhatsApp, with the schedule behind it on the portal. Which messages go by WhatsApp is chosen by the lender.

Email

Due-date and overdue reminders can also go by email, and a borrower’s statement or receipt copy can be downloaded from the portal.

UPI and payment gateways

A payment link can be offered against the instalment that is due, and the receipt arrives with its reference already on it. Nobody types it in again.

What depends on the other system

The Tally link depends on how the accountant keeps the books and on the entries the accountant wants to receive each month. Messages depend on the SMS or WhatsApp service the lender uses. Payment links depend on the gateway account, which is a separate arrangement between the lender and the provider. Cash receipts taken by collectors do not depend on any of these.

Confirmed during scoping

  • Which entries go to Tally, and the format the accountant wants
  • Which reminders go by SMS, WhatsApp or email, and when
  • Whether payment links are offered, and through which gateway
  • What a borrower may do on the portal
  • Who corrects a receipt entered in the field

What is not connected

The system does not pull bureau reports or send returns to a regulator, and it is not a core banking system. Those are outside it. Payments are recorded as receipts against the loan, and a person marks any that arrive outside a link. Any other connection is scoped and quoted on its own before work starts.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Does it post entries into Tally by itself?

No. Tally remains the accountant’s book. Collections, disbursements and interest come out as entries he brings in, and that link is worked out at installation.

Can we keep using our current SMS service?

That is confirmed during scoping. Which service sends the messages depends on what the lender already uses and what can be connected.

Do borrowers have to pay online?

No. Cash collected by field agents is recorded as before. A payment link is an option for borrowers who already pay by UPI.

Does it connect to a credit bureau?

No. Bureau reports and regulator feeds are outside the system. Credit history is recorded on the appraisal by the officer.
