Online Rent Payment for PG Tenants
Online rent payment lets tenants pay by UPI, card or net banking from a link. The payment is recorded against their invoice, and nobody updates a register by hand.
From the tenant’s phone to the bill
Parents who pay from another city
In a student PG, a parent in another city often pays the rent. A link carrying her name, bed and month is simpler than a UPI ID read out over a call. It also leaves a record against the invoice that the accounts desk can match to a bank statement without asking anyone. Nothing to identify.
The gateway is a separate arrangement
The account, the KYC, the charge on each collection and the settlement cycle into your bank are all between you and the gateway provider. We connect it. The terms stay theirs. Cash and direct transfers continue as before for tenants who prefer them. Both are marked by hand.
Frequently asked questions
Does the money come to us directly?
Yes, into your account through your gateway, on its settlement cycle. We do not hold the money at any point.
Can tenants pay part of the bill online?
Yes, where you allow it. A part payment leaves the balance pending on the same bill and does not create a second one.
Can we skip the gateway and stay on UPI?
Yes. Many owners do this and mark payments as they arrive. You lose the automatic match against the bill.
What if a payment fails halfway?
The bill stays pending until the money clears, so no one is marked paid on a failed transaction. The tenant can try again or pay cash.
