Temple Announcements and Utsava Photo Albums
Festival notices, timing changes, special poojas and appeals are posted with publish and expiry dates. Photographs from each utsava go into albums that appear on the temple website.
Announcements
Publish and expiry dates
Each announcement carries a date to appear and a date to come down, and an old notice leaves the site by itself, so nobody has to remember to delete it. Announcements are published from the same office screens used for bookings and donations.
Albums for each utsava
Photographs are uploaded into an album for each utsava, and the albums show in the gallery on the temple website. The office, or whoever took the photographs, can upload them after the event. The photographs and captions come from the temple, and GullySystem does not supply them.
What it does not do
- Nothing is sent to phones automatically when a notice is posted
- Taking registrations for an event is not part of this page
- Photographs and wording come from the temple
- Who may publish a notice is agreed with the trust
Frequently asked questions
Does a notice reach devotees on their phones?
No. It appears on the temple website. Nothing goes out to phones when it is posted. The WhatsApp chat button on the site is for questions.
What happens when an announcement expires?
It stops showing on the website on its expiry date. The office does not have to remove it by hand.
Can albums be kept for old utsavas?
Yes. Each utsava has its own album, so photographs from past years can stay in the gallery alongside the newest one.
Who can post an announcement?
Office staff, from the booking and donation screens they already use. Which staff may publish is agreed with the trust during set-up.
