Your temple’s seva counter keeps every receipt accounted for, even in festival week.

Temple Management Software is a temple management system for the temple office. It takes pooja and seva bookings at the counter and as requests online, and records donations by category. Each gets a numbered PDF receipt, with the 80G details printed where your trust has them. Devotees, priests, events and trust members sit in one place, and your temple gets its own website with timings, sevas and a donation page.

  • Set up with your own sevas, timings and donation heads before go-live
  • Your devotee lists and receipt books moved across
  • Supported by the same Bengaluru team that sets it up
Where it breaks today

What goes wrong before the software.

On festival days the seva counter runs out of receipt books

Ekadashi, Shivaratri or the brahmotsavam brings a queue before sunrise. Two volunteers write receipts by hand, the carbon copies smudge, and the evening total never matches the cash box.

We cannot say how many archanas are booked for tomorrow

Bookings come in at the counter, by phone and through a trustee’s relative. The priest finds out how many sankalpas he has only when the names are read out in the morning.

Donors ask for their 80G receipt months later

A donor gave by cheque in April and asks for a receipt with PAN in January. Someone has to search the receipt book, find the entry and write it out again.

Cancelled receipts simply disappear

A wrong receipt is torn out and thrown away. When the trust’s auditor asks why a number is missing, nobody remembers what happened to it.

Devotees in other cities cannot book or give easily

Families who moved away still want an archana on a birthday or a share in annadana. They phone the office, send money by UPI and hope someone writes their gothra and nakshatra down correctly.

The hundi and donation totals are in three different books

Counter donations, cheques and hundi counts are recorded by different people. The trustees’ meeting starts with an argument about whose total is right.

How it runs

How the work flows through it, step by step.

  1. 01

    Sevas and slots set up

Each pooja or seva is entered with its name in your language, amount or free-will offering, days it is performed, time slots and how many bookings each slot takes. You choose which ones devotees can request online.

  2. 02

Devotee books at the counter or online

At the counter, staff pick the seva, date and slot, note the gothra, nakshatra, rashi and sankalpa, and take payment. Online requests arrive as pending bookings with the same details filled in by the devotee.

  3. 03

    Receipt issued

Each paid booking or donation gets the next receipt number and a PDF receipt. For donations, the receipt carries your trust’s 80G details and the donor’s PAN when the trust has 80G registration.

  4. 04

    Priest assigned, seva performed

The office assigns a priest to the booking and marks it confirmed, assigned or completed. The day’s bookings list shows every seva with its devotee details for the priests.

  5. 05

    Close the day

The dashboard shows today’s donations, this month’s total, today’s bookings and online requests still pending. Reports break the collections down by payment mode, and exports go to the trust’s accountant.

Modules

What is inside.

Every module can be switched on, left out or changed to match how your team already works.

Pooja booking software

Each seva has its price type, duration, days, time slots, bookings per slot, instructions and which devotee details it needs. Bookings are numbered and move from pending to confirmed, assigned, completed or cancelled.

Online seva booking

Devotees request a seva from your temple website, entering the date, slot, gothra, nakshatra and sankalpa themselves. The office confirms the request and takes payment at the counter.

Donations by category

Record every donation against a head you define, such as annadana, gau seva, building fund or hundi. Each entry holds the donor’s PAN, the payment mode, the cheque or UPI reference and the purpose.

Online donations

Devotees give from your website by UPI or bank transfer and enter the transaction reference. A numbered receipt is raised with that reference, so the office can match it against the bank statement.

Receipts and PDF

One numbered series of receipts for donations and sevas. Each downloads as a PDF with your trust name and registration number, and a wrong receipt is cancelled with a reason instead of deleted.

Devotee register

Devotees are found by phone number, with gothra, nakshatra, rashi, birthday, anniversary, family members and preferred language. Their bookings and donations are linked to them.

Festivals and events

Festivals, homas, bhajans, pravachanas, annadana and classes, each with dates, a banner and a page on your website. Taking registrations for an event is not on screen yet and can be added during set-up.

Priests

Each priest’s specialisation, languages, available days and hours. Assign them to bookings, and choose whether they appear on the temple website.

Trust members

Trustees with their role, photo, term and whether their contact is shown. The list appears on your website’s about page if you want it there.

Announcements and gallery

Post festival notices, timing changes, special poojas, donation appeals or emergencies, with a publish and expiry date. Upload photos into albums for each utsava.

Temple website with your domain

A site with your deity, history, darshan and aarti timings, dress code, sevas, events, gallery and a donation page. It runs on your own domain, and you pick the template and set the search titles.

Who uses it

One system, each person sees their part.

Temple office or counter staff

Book sevas, record donations, print or download receipts and add new devotees. On festival days, several counters can issue receipts from the same series.

Trustee or managing trustee

Looks at today’s and this month’s donations, bookings and payment modes, and checks cancelled receipts with their reasons.

Accountant

Downloads donations, bookings and receipts as spreadsheets for the books and the trust’s audit.

Priest

Sees the sevas assigned for the day with each devotee’s gothra, nakshatra and sankalpa details.

Reports

The numbers the owner asks for.

  • Today’s and this month’s donations
  • Donations and seva bookings totals
  • Collections by payment mode: cash, UPI, cheque, bank transfer and online
  • Receipts register, downloadable as CSV
  • Seva bookings by date, with online requests still pending
  • Devotee list, downloadable as CSV
Good fit

Who this is built for.

  • Temples run by a registered trust with a seva counter and an office
  • Temples that issue donation receipts and want them numbered and on PDF
  • Temples with festival seasons that bring long queues for sevas
  • Mutts and temple trusts with devotees in other cities who want to book or give from afar
  • Temples that want their own website with timings and seva details
Honest answer

When it is not the right choice.

  • A small shrine with a single priest and no receipts. A notebook is enough.
  • Temples under a government endowments department that must use the department’s own system.
Made to fit

Adapted to your business before it goes live.

You are not handed a login and left to it. The product is set up around your records, your people and the tools you already use.

Your sevas, heads and timings

We enter your sevas with the names your office uses, your donation heads, darshan and aarti timings, and your receipt numbering. The screens themselves are in English.

Old records moved across

Devotee lists and past donations from Excel or registers come in, so a returning donor’s details are already there when they walk up to the counter.

Hundi and counter routine

We agree with the trustees how hundi counts are entered, under their own donation head, and who can cancel a receipt.

Website and domain

We set up the temple website on your domain with your photos, history and trust details. The donation page shows your UPI and bank details, and donors enter their transaction reference for the office to check.

Training and support

Your office staff and counter volunteers are trained on their own screens. We host the software, take backups and answer when you call.

Common questions

Questions owners ask before a demo.

Can devotees do online seva booking from our website?

Yes, for the sevas you open to online booking. The devotee picks the date and slot and enters gothra, nakshatra and sankalpa. The request reaches the office as pending, and payment is taken at the counter when it is confirmed.

Is this temple donation software able to print 80G receipts?

It prints your trust’s 80G registration number and the donor’s PAN on donation receipts, when your trust has 80G registration and you enter it. The software records what you give it. It does not grant or certify 80G status.

How does the temple management system handle hundi counting?

The hundi count is entered as a donation under its own head, with the date and who recorded it. Hundi totals then appear alongside counter and online donations in the same reports.

Will it work with Tally?

Not directly. Donations, bookings, devotees and receipts download as CSV spreadsheets, which your accountant can bring into Tally. A direct Tally link is not built in, and if the trust wants one, it is scoped in the proposal.

Can we move our old devotee and donation records?

Yes. We bring in devotee lists and past donations from Excel or typed-up registers before go-live. Receipt numbering continues from where your current book ends.

Can the counter staff use it on a tablet or phone?

Yes. It runs in the browser, so a tablet at the seva counter works. Receipts download as PDFs that can be printed or shared with the devotee.

Who owns the temple’s data?

The trust does. Donations, bookings, devotees and receipts can be downloaded as CSV from the reports screen whenever you need them. How the full record is handed over if you stop using the software is agreed in the proposal.

How much does it cost?

There is no published price. It depends on your sevas, counters and website needs. The trustees see a demo first, and the cost comes in a written proposal they can take to the trust meeting.

Is temple management software worth it for a small temple?

Only if you issue receipts regularly or have festival rushes. A temple with a few donations a month is fine with a receipt book, and we will say so in the free technology audit.
