A Request From Chicago, Confirmed by Your Office
Families who moved away still want an archana on a birthday. They pick the seva, the date and the slot on your website and type their own gothra and nakshatra, so nobody writes it down over a bad phone line.
What arrives at the office
A request comes in as a pending booking, already filled in.
The seva and the slot
Only the sevas you open to online requests can be asked for, on the days and slots they are actually performed.
Details in the devotee’s own spelling
Gothra, nakshatra and the sankalpa, typed by the family rather than heard over a call. The old argument about spelling ends here.
Waiting for you
It sits in the pending list until somebody in the office confirms it. Nothing is booked behind your back.
Then it behaves like any booking
Confirmed, a priest assigned, and on the day’s list with the counter bookings.
Payment is taken at the counter
This is the part to be plain about: an online request is a request, not a paid booking. The office confirms it and the payment is taken at the counter when the devotee or their family comes. A son in another country who wants to pay for his mother’s archana still arranges that with your office, the way he does now.
Why the office keeps the last word
- A festival day may already be committed, whatever the slot count says
- Some sevas need a priest who is not free that morning
- A request with an impossible date is corrected on the phone, not silently accepted
- Your dashboard shows online requests still waiting, so none of them quietly ages
Frequently asked questions
Can a devotee abroad pay for the seva online?
Not for a seva request. The request reaches the office and payment is taken at the counter on confirmation. Donations are the part that can be given online with a UPI or bank reference.
Which sevas appear on the website?
The ones you choose. Each seva has a setting for online requests, so a homa that needs a conversation first can stay off the site.
How does the priest know about an online booking?
Once the office confirms it and assigns him, it is on his day list with the sankalpa details, exactly like a counter booking.
