One series, many counters
On a big day three volunteers may be issuing receipts. They all draw from the same numbered series, which is why the evening adds up.
Numbered, not written
The number comes from the software. Nobody is watching two books to see which one reached 1184 first.
Your trust on the paper
Trust name and registration number print on every receipt, so the devotee holds something that looks like what it is.
PDF, printed or shared
Download and print it at the counter. Or send the file to the devotee. A donor who asks in January gets the April receipt again in a minute.
Cancelled, not vanished
A wrong receipt is cancelled with a reason and stays in the register. A missing number is the question an auditor always asks.
About 80G
Where your trust holds 80G registration, enter the number. It prints on donation receipts along with the donor’s PAN. That is the whole of it: the software records what you give it and prints it the same way every time. Whether your trust has that status, and what a donor may claim, is between the trust, its auditor and the authority.

Frequently asked questions
Can a donor get a duplicate receipt months later?
Yes. Find the entry and download the PDF again. Nobody searches a receipt book or writes the thing out a second time.
Can our receipt numbering follow the old book?
Yes, the series continues from the number your current book ends on, agreed at set-up so the audit trail does not restart at one.
Who can cancel a receipt?
Whoever the trustees decide, and their name stays on the cancellation with the reason. It is a permission question, settled before go-live.
