Every paid booking and every donation takes the next number in one series. The receipt downloads as a PDF carrying the trust’s name and registration number, and a wrong receipt is cancelled with a reason.
One series, many counters
On a busy day several volunteers may issue receipts. They all draw from the same numbered series, so the day’s total adds up.
80G number on receipts
Where the trust holds 80G registration, the number is entered once and prints on donation receipts along with the donor’s PAN. The software records what it is given and prints it the same way each time. Whether the trust holds that status, and what a donor may claim, is a matter for the trust and its auditor.

Frequently asked questions
Can a donor get a duplicate receipt months later?
Yes. Find the entry and download the PDF again. Nobody searches a receipt book or writes a second copy out by hand.
Can our receipt numbering follow the old book?
Yes. The series continues from the number the current book ends on, agreed at set-up so the audit trail does not restart at one.
Who can cancel a receipt?
Whoever the trustees decide. Their name stays on the cancellation along with the reason. It is a permission setting, settled before go-live.
