During the festival the seva counter queue reaches the gate, and the receipt book runs out.
A temple runs on seva receipts written at a counter, donation registers, and hundi counts, and festivals overload all of it. GullySystem’s temple management software keeps seva bookings, donations, receipts, and priest schedules together. Devotees can request sevas online, and setup starts with a free technology audit.
A devotee wants an archana on their birthday, a family books a Sunday pooja, and someone abroad gives towards annadanam. Each lands in a different register.
Our temple management software is built for this counter, adapted to your sevas, timings, and the trust’s way of keeping accounts.
At the counter, a clerk writes the seva, name, gothra, and nakshatra, takes cash or UPI, and tears off a receipt. Tomorrow’s pooja list reaches the priests on paper, with phone bookings added in pen.
Donations come in for annadanam, the gopura fund, or a festival, some with a PAN for the tax receipt. The hundi is counted in front of trustees and written into a register before the bank deposit.
At month end the treasurer matches receipt books and the donation register against the bank statement. Navaratri brings weeks of extra counter work for the same few clerks.
What goes wrong for temples and religious trusts without a proper system.
Two families booked the same homa slot
One booking came by phone and one at the counter, and the priest found out when both arrived with their sankalpa details.
Donors ask for a receipt we cannot find
The receipt book from last year is in a trustee’s cupboard, and the devotee needs the copy for their tax filing.
Festival cash never matches the books
Several counters and receipt books, and the treasurer spends days matching totals to the bank deposit.
Devotees outside the town cannot book
Families who have moved away call the temple office, and the booking depends on who picks up the phone.
What we would build for temples and religious trusts.
Named the way your team already talks about the work. We start with whichever part the audit shows is costing you most.
Seva and pooja booking
Each seva with its amount, days, time slots, and limit per slot, asking for gothra, nakshatra, or sankalpa where needed.
Online seva booking page
Devotees request the seva, date, and slot on your temple website, and the request reaches the office as pending to confirm.
Donations by fund
Each donation filed under a fund such as annadanam, hundi, or a festival, with payment mode, reference, and PAN when given.
Numbered receipts
Receipts print or go out as a PDF with your trust’s 80G details where it has them, and a wrong receipt is cancelled with a reason.
Priest schedule
Each priest’s available days and hours, with bookings assigned so the day’s poojas are shared out before the gate opens.
Devotee register and reports
Devotees found by phone number with family details and star, and daily collection reports by payment mode for the treasurer.
Ready products that fit temples and religious trusts.
Each one is adapted to how your business works before it goes live, and anything your trade needs that it lacks is added then. You are not paying to build the basics again.

Our trust keeps accounts in Tally. Will that continue?
Yes. Seva and donation totals by fund can be exported or posted to Tally, so the auditor works as before.
Does it issue 80G receipts?
It prints your trust’s 80G registration number and the donor’s PAN on donation receipts. Whether a receipt qualifies depends on your trust’s registration, which stays with your auditor.
Can elderly counter staff use it?
Yes. The counter screen asks only for the seva, date, name, and payment, and seva names can show in the local language.
Should a small temple just use a receipt book?
If you have one priest and a few sevas a day, a receipt book may be enough. Online seva booking and temple donation software help most once festivals, several counters, or distant devotees come in.
What happens in the free technology audit?
We look at the software, spreadsheets and WhatsApp groups your business runs on today and write down what works, what slows your team down and what is missing. A demo login, a screen-share or a few screenshots are enough to start. You get a report ordered by priority, and there is no obligation to hire us afterwards.
How much will the software cost?
We don’t publish a price, because it depends on what the system has to do. The audit settles the scope, and the cost goes into a written proposal before any work starts.
