What each seva carries

A fixed amount, or a free-will offering the devotee decides. Archana and a homa are not the same kind of entry.

The days it is performed and the slots within them, with how many bookings each slot takes. A full slot stops being offered.

Which devotee details this seva asks for: gothra, nakshatra, rashi, the sankalpa. The counter is prompted rather than remembering.

From booking to performed
Every booking is numbered and moves through pending, confirmed, assigned, completed or cancelled. Your counter clerk picks the seva, the date and the slot, fills the devotee details and takes the payment. A priest is put on it, and before sunrise he opens the day’s list with every sankalpa spelt out instead of read off a scrap of paper.
What it will not do for you
It counts bookings against a slot. The queue standing in front of the counter on Shivaratri is not its business, and nor is the trustee’s relative asking for one more archana in a full slot. That conversation is yours, and what you get afterwards is an honest count of what was booked and what was taken.
Frequently asked questions
Can two counters issue bookings at the same time?
Yes. On festival days several counters work from the same numbered series, so the evening total is one total and not three books to add up.
Can we cancel a booking that was entered wrongly?
Yes, a booking can be cancelled, and a paid one leaves its receipt cancelled with a reason rather than deleted. Your trustees can see those reasons later.
Does it work on a tablet at the counter?
It runs in the browser, so a tablet is fine. Receipts come out as PDFs that print or go to the devotee’s phone.
