What each seva carries
Each seva is set up once, in the words the office already uses.
From booking to performed
Every booking is numbered and moves through pending, confirmed, assigned, completed or cancelled. The counter clerk picks the seva, the date and the slot, fills in the devotee details and takes payment. A priest is assigned, and before sunrise he opens the day’s list with every sankalpa written out.
What it does not do
The software counts bookings against a slot. It does not manage the queue at the counter on a festival day, and it does not decide whether one more archana can go into a full slot. That decision stays with the office, and the record shows what was booked.
Frequently asked questions
Can two counters issue bookings at the same time?
Yes. On festival days several counters work from the same numbered series, so the evening total is one total and not several books to add up.
Can we cancel a booking that was entered wrongly?
Yes. A paid booking leaves its receipt cancelled with a reason and not deleted, and the trustees can read those reasons later.
Can a tablet be used at the counter?
Yes. Any tablet with a web browser works. Receipts come out as PDFs that can be printed or sent to the devotee’s phone.
