AWS, Azure, Google Cloud and DigitalOcean

We design, migrate and manage infrastructure on AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud or DigitalOcean, choosing the platform for your workload, existing licensing and team, rather than steering every client toward the same one.

Where AWS and Azure Tend to Fit

Amazon Web Services

The widest catalogue of managed services, generally suiting larger or more complex workloads and businesses that expect to need a specific service later.

Microsoft Azure

Often the natural fit where a business already holds Microsoft licensing, or runs on Windows Server and SQL Server today.

Where Google Cloud and DigitalOcean Tend to Fit

Google Cloud

Frequently chosen for data-heavy and analytics-oriented workloads, or where a team is already using Google's data tooling.

DigitalOcean

A simpler, more predictable option for a single application with a steady, well-understood load, where the broader service catalogue of the larger providers is not needed.

What Actually Decides the Choice

  • Licensing you already hold, or credits you have been given
  • A data residency requirement tied to your industry or a customer contract
  • A specific managed service your application depends on
  • The platform your existing team is already comfortable operating

Working Across More Than One

Some businesses end up running on more than one provider, deliberately or by accumulation — a legacy system on one platform, a newer product on another. We work across all four and can operate a mixed environment, though we will also tell you plainly when consolidating onto one platform would simplify things enough to be worth the move.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Which provider should we choose if we have no strong preference?

We recommend one after seeing your workload, expected usage and any licensing you already hold, with the reasoning written down rather than defaulting to whichever platform we happen to prefer working in.

Can you move us from one provider to another later?

Yes. Moving between providers is a migration like any other, planned, rehearsed on a copy and cut over in an agreed window, though the effort depends on how much of your setup uses services specific to the provider you are leaving.

Does choosing a provider lock us in?

Some lock-in is unavoidable once you adopt a provider-specific managed service, and we will tell you where that trade-off exists at design time so it is a decision you make knowingly, not a discovery you make later.

What drives the cost difference between providers for the same workload?

Instance and storage pricing differ across providers, but the larger factor is usually which managed services you use and how efficiently the environment is sized, both of which we account for when comparing options.

Can you work with credits we already have from a provider?

Yes. Existing credits or a start-up programme allocation are a legitimate factor in choosing a platform, and we design around them rather than around our own preference.

What do you need from us to recommend a platform?

A description of your workload and expected usage, any existing licensing, credits or data residency requirement, and the platform, if any, your current team already knows.
