Cloud & DevOps Trainee

A twelve-month structured traineeship in cloud infrastructure and delivery automation. You will start by shadowing deployments and end up owning the pipeline for a real client project, with an engineer reviewing everything you touch along the way.

What you will learn and do

• ✓Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines that build, test and deploy without anyone clicking anything.
• ✓Work with cloud infrastructure on AWS or DigitalOcean — compute, storage, networking, DNS.
• ✓Containerise applications with Docker and understand what the image actually contains.
• ✓Set up monitoring and alerting, and take part in the rota once you are ready.
• ✓Write runbooks so the next person does not have to ask you.

What we are looking for

• ✓A degree or diploma in computer science, IT or electronics, or equivalent self-taught ability.
• ✓Comfortable on the Linux command line — files, processes, permissions, logs.
• ✓Basic scripting in Bash or Python.
• ✓Genuine curiosity about how systems break, and the patience to find out why.
• ✓Nice to have: any exposure to Git, Docker, or a cloud free tier you have played with.
