Data & BI Analyst Trainee

A twelve-month traineeship in business intelligence. You will learn to take messy operational data from client systems and turn it into dashboards their managers actually open on a Monday morning.

What you will learn and do

• ✓Write SQL to pull, join and clean data from client databases.
• ✓Build dashboards and reports in tools such as Power BI, Metabase or Looker Studio.
• ✓Investigate why two systems report different numbers for the same thing — and document the answer.
• ✓Automate the reports that someone is currently rebuilding by hand every week.
• ✓Present findings to a non-technical audience without a wall of numbers.

What we are looking for

• ✓A degree in statistics, mathematics, computer science, commerce or economics — or the equivalent in demonstrable skill.
• ✓Working SQL: you can write a join and a group-by without looking it up.
• ✓Strong spreadsheet skills, including pivot tables.
• ✓An eye for a number that looks wrong, and the stubbornness to chase it.
• ✓Nice to have: Python with pandas, or any BI tool you have used on a real dataset.
