Dinnerware E-commerce & Open Stock Management Software

This solution lets a dinnerware seller define sets by the number of place settings, sell the same pattern as open stock, track which pieces of a pattern remain and handle breakage claims. It suits brands, importers and retailers with patterns that run for years.

Product status

Configured implementation on a commerce platform chosen in discovery

Set and open-stock rules sit on a hosted platform with a product-bundles extension, chosen in discovery. Where the platform cannot hold pattern availability and set composition, custom work is scoped before it is promised.

There is no published price, free trial or live demo for this solution. Scope and cost are settled in a written proposal after discovery.

Purpose and users

The system treats a pattern as the parent and every plate, bowl and cup as a piece of it. A set is a list of pieces, and open stock sells the same pieces one at a time.

It does not make or inspect ware. It tracks what exists in each pattern, and tells a buyer honestly when a piece has been withdrawn.

Modules

What is in the system.

Pattern register

Each pattern with its pieces, sizes, glaze lots and status.

Set builder

Sets defined by place settings, with every piece and its count.

Open stock

Single pieces sold from the same stock that feeds the sets.

Availability notes

Marks pieces as in production, limited or withdrawn.

Breakage claims

Records damage with photographs and links a replacement to the same pattern and lot.

Workflows

How the work runs through it.

Choose a set or build one

A shopper picks a ready set or assembles one from open stock, and sees the total pieces and price.

Replace a broken piece

A buyer enters an earlier order or pattern name and orders the single piece to match.

Catalogue and product data

What each product record holds.

Pattern and pieces

Name, shape, size and finish for every piece of a pattern.

Care details

Dishwasher, microwave and oven limits, quoted from the maker’s data.

Lot

Glaze lot for each batch, so a later piece can be compared with an earlier one.

Pricing and order rules

How prices and orders are set.

Set price

A set is priced whole or from the pieces, as you choose.

Open stock price

Each piece carries its own price, which can differ from a share of the set.

Trade rates

Restaurants and hotels see rates and quantities set for them.

Stock and fulfilment

From stock to the doorstep.

Shared stock

A set and its open-stock pieces draw on one count.

Breakage-safe packing

Pieces are packed by shape, and heavy sets are split across cartons.

Lot check

A replacement order is checked for glaze lot, and a difference is pointed out to the buyer.

Payments, returns and refunds

Taking money and giving it back.

Payments

Online checkout for homes, and invoices for hotels and restaurants settled by transfer.

Replacements

A claim leads to a replacement, a credit or a refund, and the reason is kept.

Admin controls and reporting

What the team can see and change.

Pattern status

What remains of each pattern, and what has been withdrawn.

Breakage

Claims by piece type and carrier.

Integrations

What it connects to, and on what terms.

Importer’s price list

Pattern and piece lists arrive by file from the supplier.

Payment gateway

Takes the checkout methods your merchant account offers.

Accounts file

Invoices export for your accountant.

Deployment

How it is set up and run.

Built to fit

Designed with your catalogue team and hosted where you decide.

In stages

Pattern register and set builder first, then open stock and claims.

Customisation boundaries

What can change, and where the edge is.

Set by your range

Set definitions, lot rules and packing rules follow your products.

The edge

The platform’s bundle features decide how far standard configuration goes. A set rule beyond them is built as custom work.

Migration and training

Moving over and getting people ready.

Loading patterns

Patterns and pieces come from supplier sheets and are checked against what is on the shelves.

Training

Catalogue and care staff learn to look up patterns and pieces.

Support scope

What support covers.

Looked after

The pattern register, set builder and claims flow are maintained under the agreement.

Quoted apart

New pattern families and new import layouts are new work.

Common questions

Questions about this solution.

Is this a packaged product?

No. The store is configured on a hosted platform, and custom work is added only where that falls short.

Can it promise that a pattern will stay available?

No. It shows what is in stock and what the supplier has withdrawn. It cannot extend a pattern’s life.

Does it match glaze shade exactly?

No. It records lots and warns of a different one. Colour variation between firings is a property of the ware.
