Three Functions, One Sunday, One Calendar

Both events were confirmed the same week by different people. Nobody checked whether your own chairs could cover both. On the morning, the smaller function gets rented chairs at whatever the market feels like charging.

Tentative is not the same as confirmed

A date held while a family decides is worth seeing on the calendar, and so is the one that has taken an advance. Both sit there, marked differently, because that difference is the whole business.

What it checks before you commit

The date itself

Another function already on it shows up before the confirmation goes out, rather than after the advance has been taken.

Your own crew

A coordinator already committed that Sunday raises a warning. Going ahead is your call, and it should be a deliberate one.

Your own equipment

Chairs, sofas, carpets and props are finite. Two events wanting the same two hundred chairs is a problem best found in October.

The venue

Several of your functions at one hall on one day happens more often in season, and it is not always a clash worth stopping.

How the month reads

An owner opens this first thing, and often only this.

  • Events by date, with what is still tentative
  • Functions under one wedding, on their own days
  • A weekend opened out, to see everything running on it
  • Dates blocked against advances already received
  • The gaps, which is where your sales desk should be pushing
FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Can two events be booked on one date deliberately?

Yes, and most planners do it every season. The warning appears and somebody overrides it knowingly, which is different from finding out on Friday.

Does it connect to Google Calendar?

Event dates can go across, which suits an owner who lives in his phone calendar. It is set up during configuration, and what travels is agreed first.

Does it decide whether we can take a second function?

No. It shows what is already committed, crew and stock included. Whether your team can run two mantapas on one Sunday is a judgement nobody should hand to software.
