Frequently asked questions
Is this a profit and loss statement?
No, and it should not be called one. Your books stay with your accountant in Tally. This is the event’s own settlement page: billed, vendor cost, staff cost and stock, which is what you quote from.
What if we never record the cash spent on the day?
Then the page overstates what the event made. Enter it as an event expense and it is honest, and this is the one screen that depends entirely on somebody being disciplined.
Can we compare two weddings?
Yes, by reading their pages against each other: head count, what was billed and what each cost. Two weddings at the same count in the same hall rarely settle the same way.
