What does member management give the member herself?

What if somebody joins in the middle of a savings cycle?
Put in her joining date and her savings amount, and the record starts from there, running on her own cycle rather than the group’s first month.
Should we still keep the passbook?
Many groups do, and there is nothing wrong with it. The same figures are held in the software, so the passbook becomes a copy instead of the only source.
