How long does a cloud readiness assessment take?
The applications in scope and the speed at which they can be reviewed set the duration. One business application is short work. An estate with a dozen systems and several branches takes longer, and the scope is agreed first.
Will cloud hosting cost less than our own server?
It depends on the workload. Cloud usually helps with remote access and recovery, while a steady load on one server can be cheaper to run in place. Both figures are given in the report.
What if our software vendor says it will not run on cloud?
That claim is tested, not assumed. Sometimes a licence forbids it or the product needs a local device. Where it does not, a short trial on a test instance settles the matter.
Does the assessment cover data protection questions?
It flags them. Where personal data is involved, the report notes what needs a proper review. Interpreting the DPDP Act belongs with your CA or lawyer. We do not certify compliance.
