Rule or person, the entry keeps who matched it and when. Reverse one and the reversal stays visible rather than disappearing from the trail.

Three months of your own statements are read before go-live, and the rules are written from what repeats in them.

Frequently asked questions
Does it match everything by itself?
No. Rules and exact pairs clear the bulk, which is most of the work. The rest arrive as ranked suggestions, and a person accepts or rejects each one. Deciding what an odd credit was is judgement, and judgement stays with your accountant.
Can we write a rule ourselves later?
Yes. A new standing instruction or a new gateway is a rule somebody at your end writes from the statement line in front of them. Who wrote it is recorded with the rule.
What if a rule matches the wrong entry?
Undo it. The line goes back on the unmatched list and the reversal stays in the log. The rule can then be narrowed by amount range or by narration so it stops catching that case.
