Every Rupee Against the Instalment It Pays
At the counter or at the subscriber’s door, a payment is recorded against a due, by a named person, on the day it was taken. The receipt number comes from the software, not from a book.
What a receipt carries
The due it settles
A receipt pays an instalment on a ticket, not a vague balance. The ticket moves to paid or partly paid in the same moment.
Mode and reference
Cash, UPI, bank transfer or a cheque with its number. The reference is typed in with the amount, so matching against the bank statement is possible later.
The person who collected
Counter staff or field agent, recorded on the entry. When a subscriber says he paid, you can see who took it.
A number that cannot go missing
Each collection gets its own receipt number and prints with your company’s name. No carbon book, no torn page.
The agent at the door
It runs in the phone browser, so a collection can be recorded on the doorstep rather than written on a pad and typed up at nine that night. The subscriber’s ticket, his due and the net payable are on the same screen. Collections history is searchable by receipt number or by member, which is the search you actually need when somebody walks in waving a slip.
The cash box is still the cash box
The software records the receipt. It does not count the money in the bag your agent brings back, and that handover stays a human routine between him and your office. What it gives you is a list of exactly what he says he collected, with a number against each one.
Frequently asked questions
Can an agent record a collection without network?
No. There is no offline mode, so the phone needs a signal at the moment of entry. On a stretch without coverage the entry is made when the signal comes back, which is worth knowing before you promise anything to your agents.
Can a receipt be edited after it is saved?
No. A saved collection stands, with its receipt number, the mode, the reference and the name of whoever took the money. A wrong entry is put right with us rather than edited quietly behind the counter, which is the behaviour your auditor is looking for.
Does the receipt print with our name and format?
It prints with your company’s name on it. Receipt numbering follows the series your office already uses, set during set-up.
