How the block works
Winning an auction creates a pending payout for the net prize on that ticket. It waits there.
Security details recorded
Guarantor, property papers, whatever your company accepts, entered against the ticket with the scanned documents attached.
Verified by a named person
Somebody in your office marks the security verified. Until then the release button does not work, whoever is asking.
Then released
The payout moves from pending to released, and the record keeps the date and who released it.
And logged
Security approvals and payout releases both go to the audit log. The order of events is not something anyone has to remember.
Why the foreman wants this and not a reminder
You already know you should hold the prize until the papers are in, and the pressure is not a memory problem. It is a son-in-law standing at your desk on Friday afternoon, and a rule that lives only in your head bends. A locked button is harder to argue with than a good intention, and it is the same rule for every ticket in every group.
What it cannot judge
Whether the guarantor is good for the money is your call, not the software’s. Marking security verified is a human decision and the record only shows who made it. Payouts pending, security verified and released are listed together, so nothing sits in that first state quietly for three months.

Can the managing director override the block?
Somebody has to mark the security verified before a release, and that action carries their name. The point is not to stop you, it is to make sure the decision belongs to a person.
Can we see every payout waiting on papers?
Yes, that list is one of the reports. Pending, verified and released, so a prize stuck for want of one document is visible instead of forgotten.
Where do the scanned documents live?
Against the payout and the ticket, so they open with the record. Your company owns them, and how you take a complete copy is written into the proposal.
