Prescription Glasses E-commerce & Lab Order Software

This solution takes a prescription with the frame and the lens choice, holds the order for review, and sends one complete job to the lab. It suits opticians and online eyewear brands that make glasses to order. It is built to your lab’s way of working and does not diagnose, test sight or approve prescriptions.

Product status

Custom software solution, built to your requirements

No existing GullySystem product records prescriptions, lens specifications or lab jobs, so it is written specifically for you. Frames and accessories can sit on the configured storefront beside it.

There is no published price, free trial or live demo for this solution. Scope and cost are settled in a written proposal after discovery.

Purpose and users

The system treats the prescription as data with a date and a source, not as a photograph in a chat thread. A reviewer sees the values, the frame and the lens choice side by side before anything is cut.

It does not test eyes, grade a prescription or decide what is acceptable. Those decisions stay with the people and rules of your practice. The software enforces the checks you define.

Modules

What is in the system.

Prescription form

Sphere, cylinder, axis, add power and pupillary distance as separate fields, with the prescription date and an uploaded image.

Lens configurator

Lens type, index, coating and tint offered for the entered power, with price rules you set.

Review queue

Orders wait here until a named reviewer releases, queries or rejects them.

Lab job sheet

Frame, lens specification and measurements bundled as one job and followed through to dispatch.

Remake and adjustment log

Every remake or adjustment linked to the first job, with a reason chosen from a list.

Workflows

How the work runs through it.

Order to released job

A buyer selects a frame, enters values, picks lenses and pays. A reviewer checks the order and releases it as a lab job.

Query and resume

A reviewer asks the buyer to confirm a value. The order resumes from where it stopped when the reply arrives.

Fitted pair to doorstep

The lab marks the pair as cut, fitted and checked. Dispatch details are added and the buyer is told.

Catalogue and product data

What each product record holds.

Frame fit data

Frame width, lens width, bridge and temple length are fields on each frame, so lens and frame can be matched.

Lens options

Types, indices, coatings and tints are held as options linked to power ranges you define.

Prescription image

The uploaded prescription stays with the order, readable by reviewers and the lab only.

Pricing and order rules

How prices and orders are set.

Lens price rules

Lens price follows type, index, coating and power band, as your counter quotes it.

Frame and lens together

The basket shows one price made of frame and lens, with the parts itemised on the invoice.

Approval for exceptions

Out-of-range orders and discounts pause until a senior person signs off, and the sign-off is stored.

Stock and fulfilment

From stock to the doorstep.

Frame stock

Frame stock is held by style and colour and reserved when an order is paid.

Lens blanks

Where you hold lens blanks, they are counted. Otherwise the lab’s lead time is shown to the buyer.

Job tracking

Each job shows its stage: received, cut, fitted, checked and dispatched.

Payments, returns and refunds

Taking money and giving it back.

Payments

Card and UPI checkout, plus bank transfer where the gateway allows it.

Returns for cut lenses

A cut lens cannot be resold, so the return form asks for the reason and routes to a remake or a refund, as your policy states.

Refunds

Money returns by the original route once the reviewer has logged the decision.

Admin controls and reporting

What the team can see and change.

Roles

Reviewers see prescriptions, the lab sees jobs and the order desk sees neither in full.

Reports

Orders held for query, jobs by stage and remakes by recorded reason.

Integrations

What it connects to, and on what terms.

Lab intake

Jobs are sent to the lab as a file or through its API once the lab’s format and access are confirmed.

Shop billing

Linked to the shop’s stock and billing by export or interface, once the shop software has been checked.

Messaging

Prescription queries and updates by WhatsApp once a Business account exists.

Deployment

How it is set up and run.

Built to order

Shaped with you and your lab. We host it, or it sits in an account you own.

Phased

Prescription form and review queue first, then the lab hand-off and remakes.

Customisation boundaries

What can change, and where the edge is.

What can change

Fields, ranges, review rules and job stages follow your practice.

Where the edge is

Sight testing and clinical judgement stay with qualified staff. The software records and routes.

Migration and training

Moving over and getting people ready.

Bringing records over

Existing customer prescriptions are imported from your present records and spot-checked with your staff.

Training

Short sessions for reviewers, the lab and the order desk, using sample orders.

Support scope

What support covers.

Scope

Defects, minor edits and staff queries are covered under the terms you sign.

Outside scope

New lab connections, new markets and any large change are priced on their own.

Common questions

Questions about this solution.

Does a packaged product exist for this?

No. The system is written for your business, because GullySystem has no packaged product for prescription orders.

Does it approve prescriptions?

No. It applies the checks you define and puts every order in front of a person before release.

Can it send jobs to our lab?

Where the lab accepts a file or an API, yes. Otherwise a clear job sheet is produced for the lab.
