Grain Seller E-commerce & Bulk Stock Software

This solution keeps grain stock in kilograms by lot, turns sacks into retail packs of several sizes, and prices every pack from one base rate. It also takes bulk orders by bag or quintal for traders and institutions, so loose, packed and trade sales draw on the same stock.

Product status

Configured implementation on a commerce platform chosen in discovery

Whichever platform is selected would have to carry bulk-to-pack stock, which means expressing conversion between a sack and its packs. Where it cannot, that single flow turns into custom work, and the scope says so before a build begins.

There is no published price, free trial or live demo for this solution. Scope and cost are settled in a written proposal after discovery.

Purpose and users

The weight of a lot is the real stock, and packs are only ways of cutting it up. The system therefore stores kilograms, and a 5 kg pack is a draw of five from a lot.

It covers the storefront, lot records, conversion and trade orders. It does not grade grain, test moisture or decide what a variety is called.

Modules

What is in the system.

Lot stock in kilograms

Each purchase is a lot with variety, harvest year, supplier and weight. Stock falls by the weight of whatever is sold.

Sack-to-pack conversion

A packing run turns a part of a lot into counted packs of chosen sizes, and records the weight lost or gained.

Per-kilogram pricing

One base rate per variety drives every pack and loose price, with a rounding rule for each size.

Bag and quintal orders

Traders and institutions order by bag or quintal at agreed slabs, with delivery to site.

Packing and weighing station

A screen for the packing floor that shows the run, the pack sizes and the tare.

Workflows

How the work runs through it.

Buy, pack, list

A lot arrives, a packing run creates packs, and the packs appear on the store with the lot’s variety and harvest year.

Rate change

The base rate for a variety is edited once. Every pack size and the loose price follow it from that moment.

Trade order

A trader enters bags, accepts a quotation, pays an advance, and the order draws from lots in the order you set.

Catalogue and product data

What each product record holds.

Variety and grade

Rice type, polish, age and grain length are fields, so buyers filter by what they know.

Pack sizes and loose

The same variety is sold loose and in several packs, each with its own unit price shown beside the kilogram price.

Origin and harvest year

Source region and harvest year appear on the listing where the seller records them.

Pricing and order rules

How prices and orders are set.

One base rate

Pack prices are the base rate times weight, plus any packing charge you set.

Trade slabs

Orders by bag or quintal get slab rates, and credit is allowed where it has been agreed.

Stale price protection

A basket price is held for a stated time, and the rate behind it is kept with the order line.

Stock and fulfilment

From stock to the doorstep.

Lots and first-in order

Stock is drawn from lots by the rule you pick, usually oldest first.

Packing yield

Each run records input weight, packed weight and loss, so shrinkage is visible.

Heavy dispatch

Sacks and cartons travel by freight or your own vehicle, and the weight is checked at loading.

Payments, returns and refunds

Taking money and giving it back.

Payments

Online payment for retail packs, and advance plus balance for trade orders.

Returns

A sealed pack can be returned. Opened grain is handled as a quality claim with a photograph.

Refunds

A refund is made against the order by weight and value, once the claim is assessed.

Admin controls and reporting

What the team can see and change.

Roles

Packing staff see runs and lots. The order desk sees orders. Owners see rates and margins.

Approvals

Rate changes above a limit and large trade discounts wait for an owner.

Reports

Stock by lot and variety, packing yield, sales by pack size and trade orders open.

Connected only after the scale’s output and a method for reading it are confirmed.

How it is set up and run.

What can change, and where the edge is.

What can change

Variety lists, pack sizes, rounding rules and slab rates are set by you.

Where the edge is

Grading, moisture testing and quality certification stay outside the system. It stores the results you enter.

Opening stock

Current stock is weighed and entered by lot, then compared with your books before the store opens.

Training

Packing staff learn the run screen on real sacks. The desk learns trade orders.

What support covers.

Included

Corrections, small changes and replies to staff queries come under a signed agreement.

Excluded

Extra grain categories, more warehouses and new channels get their own quotation.

Common questions

Questions about this solution.

Is this finished software?

No. The shop-side product exists. Lots, conversion and trade slabs are configured, and a part may need custom work if the platform cannot hold them.

Can it read a digital scale?

Possibly. That depends on the scale’s output and is checked in discovery, not assumed.

Is there a price list or a trial?

No. Nothing is listed publicly, and no trial copy exists. Cost is stated in a proposal after discovery.
