Nobody Promises the Same Saturday Twice
One booking was confirmed by you on a call. The other by your partner on Instagram. Both families paid an advance, and it is a fortnight before a wedding.
A date is held before it is booked
Families take a week to decide, sometimes three. A tentative hold keeps the date visible without pretending it is confirmed. When the advance arrives, the hold becomes a booking and the date is locked.

Marked differently, because the difference is whether you can take another enquiry for that Sunday.
The crew already out
A cinematographer booked on the 14th shows as booked when somebody tries to put him on another shoot that day.
A deliberate override
You can still take two shoots on one date. It needs somebody to override the warning knowingly, which is the whole point of the warning.

Frequently asked questions
How long can a date be held?
For as long as you allow. Studios usually give a family a week or ten days, and a hold sitting there since last month is visible rather than quietly forgotten.
Does the calendar sync with our phones?
Shoot dates can go across to Google Calendar, set up during configuration. What travels is agreed first, because a shared calendar wants the date and not the client’s number.
Does it stop a double booking?
It warns. It does not stop you, because there are Saturdays when you genuinely run two crews and should. What it prevents is finding out by accident.
