The module records how many files came off each card, who handed them over and where they now sit: disk label, drive or studio storage. A backup is recorded as a second location.

The crew lead is still at the venue with the cards in hand, and that is when the count and the destination are accurate. Days later, on another shoot, the same figure is an estimate.

- The photographs are not stored inside the software
- Wedding shoots run to hundreds of gigabytes, which studio disks and drives already hold
- What is kept is the count, the label, the backup and the handover
- Delivery links from the drive already in use are recorded with their expiry
- Storage itself does not change

Why are the files not kept in the system?
Studio disks and drives hold hundreds of gigabytes at lower cost than a subscription would. What gets lost is which disk a job is on, and that is what this records.
Can the crew lead record the handover from the venue?
Yes, in the phone browser before leaving. The entry is made at the moment the count is accurate, and it takes a minute.
What happens when a disk is retired?
The location of that job is changed and the record follows. Jobs whose only copy sits on an old disk become visible before a client asks for a reprint.
