Access and limits

Supplier rates and margin can be limited to the staff you choose. Many agencies keep the selling price with the whole desk and the cost sheet with a few names.

It is not a rate feed

Hotel and transport rates are the ones the office has negotiated and entered, or the ones a supplier sends for those dates. No live inventory comes from anywhere, and nothing is booked from this screen.

A costing is only as fresh as its last entry

If a seasonal rate has moved and nobody updated it, the sheet quotes the old one. Keeping one person responsible for the rate list avoids that.

Can we keep standard packages and change them per guest?

Yes, and that is how most desks use it. A saved Kerala itinerary is opened on the file, days are swapped, a hotel is upgraded and the costing follows.

Does the guest see our supplier cost?

No. The quotation carries the selling price, per person and by room category. The cost and the margin stay inside the office.

How are revisions handled?

Each version is kept with its date and what changed, so the guest and the desk look at the same plan.

Can we cost in a foreign currency?

Not directly. The costing sheet works in rupees. A Dubai ground agent bills in dirhams, so the desk converts at the rate it applies that week and enters the rupee cost. No rate is fetched from anywhere.
