Regional Food Marketplace E-commerce Software

This solution sets up a shared store for regional food producers: seller onboarding, a catalogue per producer, a single checkout, consolidated shipping and payouts after commission. Extensions cover seasonal and small-batch availability where the chosen platform has no such feature.

Product status

Configured implementation on a commerce platform chosen in discovery

No GullySystem product runs a multi-producer store. A marketplace-capable platform is selected in discovery, and it decides how far payouts and seller screens can be configured.

There is no published price, free trial or live demo for this solution. Scope and cost are settled in a written proposal after discovery.

Purpose and users

The aim is to let producers who sell a few hundred jars a month reach buyers across the country without each running a website.

It covers onboarding, listings, checkout, shipping and payouts. It does not vet a producer’s product quality or certify the origin claims a producer makes.

Modules

What is in the system.

Seller onboarding

A producer applies, uploads documents and details, is reviewed and then lists products.

Producer catalogue and stock

Each producer manages its own products, quantities and seasons.

Single checkout

A buyer pays once for items from several producers.

Consolidated shipping

Items are gathered at a hub or shipped separately, as the operator sets.

Commission, payouts and story pages

Commission is worked out per order, producers are paid on a schedule, and each has a page telling where it makes its food.

Workflows

How the work runs through it.

Producer joins

A producer submits details and sample products, the operator reviews them, and the producer’s page goes live.

Mixed order

A buyer orders a pickle from one state and a sweet from another, and pays once. Each producer sees its own part.

Month-end payout

Orders are settled, commission is deducted and each producer’s statement is issued.

Catalogue and product data

What each product record holds.

Producer profile

Name, region, story and the documents the operator requires.

Products and seasons

Items that exist only part of the year, with open and close dates and small-batch limits.

Origin claims

A claim shown as the producer’s statement unless the operator holds a document that supports it.

Pricing and order rules

How prices and orders are set.

Commission rules

A rate per category or producer, with the figure shown in the payout statement.

Producer pricing

Producers set their own prices within limits the operator sets.

Combined orders

Shipping charged per order, per producer or per weight, as the operator chooses.

Stock and fulfilment

From stock to the doorstep.

Producer stock

Each producer keeps its own counts, updated by the producer and checked by the operator.

Hub or direct

A packing hub receives items and combines them, or producers ship direct.

Seasonal closing

Listings close when a batch sells out or a season ends.

Payments, returns and refunds

Taking money and giving it back.

Payments and splits

A single payment divided among producers, if the payment provider offers splitting.

Returns

A return is routed to the producer whose item is affected, with the operator’s rule on who bears the cost.

Admin controls and reporting

What the team can see and change.

Operator views

All producers, orders and payouts in one screen, with filters.

Reports

Sales by producer and region, commission earned and orders late to ship.

Integrations

What it connects to, and on what terms.

Payment provider

Split payment or payout features are used only where the provider supports them and your account is approved.

Courier services

Pick-ups from several pin codes with tracking, through couriers whose access has been tested.

Messaging

Order and shipping notices for buyers and producers, sent through a verified messaging account.

Deployment

How it is set up and run.

Platform-based

Set up on a marketplace-capable platform selected with you, with extensions where it falls short.

Phased

A few producers first, then wider onboarding.

Customisation boundaries

What can change, and where the edge is.

What can change

Onboarding steps, commission, shipping rules and producer screens follow your model.

Where the edge is

The platform decides how deep seller permissions and split payouts can go, and this is confirmed before a proposal.

Migration and training

Moving over and getting people ready.

Bringing producers over

Producer details and products are loaded from sheets, and each producer is shown its own screen.

Training

Short sessions for operators, and simple guides and a help line for producers.

Support scope

What support covers.

Scope

After launch we repair faults and adjust the producer flows, with contacts and hours named in the support terms.

Outside scope

More regions, a producer mobile app and a redesign each get their own quotation.

Common questions

Questions about this solution.

Is this an existing marketplace product?

No. Each operator gets a configured build. Its platform is decided during discovery.

Do you check a producer’s quality?

No. Quality checks and origin claims are the operator’s job. The software holds the documents the operator collects.

Can producers be paid automatically?

Only if the payment provider offers splits and has approved your account. Otherwise payouts are prepared by the system and made by you.
