Supplement and Shop Stock for Gyms
The gym counter sells protein, shakes, bars and gear beside the plans. This module counts what comes in, what is sold and what is left, so the shelf and the bills agree.
What the shop records
Expiry and returns
Supplements carry a use-by date, and a tub sitting at the back of a shelf can pass it unnoticed. Batch dates are held on the record, and items nearing expiry are listed so they can be pushed at the counter or returned to the distributor where that is allowed. A damaged or returned pack is recorded as such. It does not vanish from the count.
How it connects
Shop items are added to the member’s bill beside the plan fee, so one receipt covers both. Sales by item show which products move and which sit. Margin on each item is read from cost and selling price, and the owner can see it by month.
What the client decides
- Which items the gym stocks and the reorder level for each
- Whether any trainer earns commission on supplement sales
- How expired stock is written off and who approves it
- Whether the shop stock is counted with a barcode scanner or by hand
Frequently asked questions
Can a barcode scanner be used at the counter?
Yes, where the packs carry barcodes. The scanner model and the label printer are confirmed during scoping.
Does it handle protein sold loose by the scoop?
Yes. A tub can be set up to be sold in measures, and each scoop sold comes off the tub’s count.
Can one stock count cover more than one branch?
Yes. Each branch keeps its own stock, and the owner can read all branches together or one at a time.
Does it raise purchase orders?
It lists what to reorder and the supplier for each item. Placing the order itself stays with the person who buys.
