Class Booking and Waitlist for Pilates Studios
Clients book a place in a reformer or mat class from a phone, or the desk books it for them. A full class puts the next client on a waitlist that is offered in order.
Booking a place
A booking takes one place from the class and one session from the client’s pack. The desk and the client see the same count.
The waitlist
When a class is full, the next client is added to a waitlist with the time she joined. If a booked client cancels, the first person in line is offered the place by WhatsApp or SMS. She confirms, or the offer moves to the next client. Reception can see who was offered and who replied.
Cancellations
A cancelled place returns to the class straight away. Whether a cancellation close to the start uses up a session is the studio’s rule. The system applies that rule and records the cancellation so it can be reviewed.
What booking does not do
Booking does not decide the late cancellation window or how many clients may wait. The studio sets both. It also does not take payment by itself; a pack or a drop-in is billed in its own step.
Frequently asked questions
Does a client need an app to book?
No. Booking works from a phone browser, and the desk can book on a client’s behalf when she prefers to call.
Can the waitlist be switched off for some classes?
Yes. A private session or a small workshop may not need one, so the waitlist is set per class.
How is a waitlist place offered?
A message goes to the first client in line with a short time to reply. After that, the offer passes on. The reply window is set with the studio.
Can a client book a class after the start time?
Only if the studio allows it. Many studios close booking at class start, and that cut-off is a setting the owner chooses.
