Attendance Marked at the Gate, Not in the Office

One button and a selfie when the shift begins. The same duty becomes the client’s bill and the man’s wage, so nobody counts a register twice.

The register arrives as a photograph

Every morning a supervisor sends pictures of gate registers to the office. Some are blurred, and one is yesterday’s page. Two people then count duties guard by guard while the invoices wait, and a single slip either underbills a client or pays a man short.

What a duty record carries

A face and a place

The selfie and the location are taken at the post when the shift starts. A photograph sent from a bed at home is a different place.

The post, not just the site

The mark sits against the gate post or the lobby post he actually stood at, because that is what the client is billed for.

Shift end as well

Closing the shift is a second mark, so a man who left halfway through the night does not turn into a full duty.

Basic phones covered

Where guards carry feature phones, the supervisor marks the whole post from his own handset. Both kinds of entry land in the same duty record.

What it feeds

  • Duties by post for the client invoice, with any shortfall shown
  • Duties by guard for the wage sheet, with overtime and night allowance
  • Open posts raised the minute a shift starts without a mark
  • Attendance the client’s admin team can see for his own site
  • Biometric devices at large sites, where you already have them
FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What if a gate has no mobile signal?

Some basement and factory gates have none. There the supervisor marks the post from the nearest spot that does, and the entry shows who marked it and when. That is not perfect, and we say so before you buy rather than after.

Can a guard mark attendance from home?

The location on the entry is the answer to that. A mark taken away from the post is visible as such, sitting beside the gate photographs from the same shift.

Do guards have to install an app?

No, there is nothing to install. The page opens on the handset he already carries, and what he sees is one button and a camera.

Can the client see this attendance?

Yes, for his own site. The client login shows attendance, open posts and incidents at his premises, which answers most of the calls before they are made.
