PetSeva made specialist vet care bookable the moment you need it.
A two-sided platform has one hard problem: supply has to be discoverable by need, and bookable when the buyer is actually looking — which for a sick animal is eleven at night, not Tuesday at eleven in the morning. PetSeva researched pet owners before any spec existed. We built to one test that came out of it: can a worried owner go from noticing a symptom to a booked appointment without putting the phone down?

The problem
PetSeva talked to pet owners before a line of spec was written. Four constraints came out of those conversations — each one a design requirement rather than a feature request.
Queues ordered by arrival, not by need
You turn up and take a seat with no idea whether it's twenty minutes or two hours — next to a room full of other stressed animals.
Booking only during the hours you also work
You could only call during clinic hours, which are the same hours you are at your own job. Then you hoped something was free.
Every day of delay is a day the animal stays unwell
The time between spotting that something's wrong and getting seen is time your pet spends unwell and you spend worrying.
No way to match a symptom to a specialisation
Nothing told you which vet actually treats what your pet has. You picked the nearest one and hoped it was the right call.
What we built
We built the platform around discovery and live availability rather than around the clinic's opening hours — search by what the animal needs, book against a real diary, and settle payment inside the same flow.
Search by specialisation, not postcode
Owners search on what their pet actually needs, so the choice is made on expertise rather than on which clinic happens to be nearest.
Booking decoupled from clinic hours
Book at eleven at night if that's when you notice something. The clinic does not need to be open for you to get into its diary.
Remote consults for what does not need a visit
Plenty of questions don't need a car journey and a cat in a carrier. Those get answered on a call instead of in a waiting room.
Payment inside the booking flow
Settlement happens in the app, so nobody is hunting for a card at a counter with an unhappy animal under one arm.
One account for the whole animal
Grooming, boarding and supplies sit alongside the medical side, so an owner keeps one relationship rather than one per service.
Triage content in plain language
Articles written to help an owner judge what needs a vet today and what can safely wait until Monday.
The result
The gap between symptom and opinion closed
The delay between noticing something is wrong and getting a professional to look at it effectively went away.
The wait moved ahead of the visit
Booking online and consulting remotely took the queue out of the front of every appointment.
Owners could judge urgency themselves
With enough context to make the call, owners stopped guessing about what was and was not an emergency.
The supply side grew on its own
More than 2,000 specialist vets signed up — the clearest signal that the platform solved their problem as well as the owner’s.
PetSeva set out to make good veterinary care easy to reach. It is now — for the people booking it, and for the animals who can't tell anyone what hurts.
