Vehicle Fitment Lookup for Auto Parts Shops
Fitment lookup lets the counter search by make, model, variant and year and see the parts that suit that vehicle. Each part is linked to the vehicles you have recorded for it.
Searching from the vehicle
A customer often knows the car, not the part. The counter picks the make and model, then the engine, fuel and year. The list narrows to air filters, pads, belts and bulbs recorded against that vehicle.
How fitment is recorded
Who uses it
Counter staff use it for every walk-in. New staff lean on it most. The buyer uses it to see which vehicles a slow part could serve before deciding to return it to the supplier.
What the client decides
Fitment is only as correct as what is entered. GullySystem does not supply a manufacturer’s fitment database. Whether to load one, buy one or build your own from sales is a decision for the shop, and each route is discussed during scoping.
Frequently asked questions
Can I search by registration number?
No. Search is by make, model, variant and year. Reading a registration against a government record is not part of this module.
Does it cover two-wheelers as well as cars?
Yes, if you stock for both. Vehicle types are held in the same list, and each part links to whichever it suits.
Who adds a new vehicle to the list?
Counter staff can add one when a customer brings a model that is missing, or the owner can restrict this to a manager.
Does a wrong fitment get flagged?
A return for a wrong fit can be linked back to the part, so the fitment note can be corrected after the manager reviews it.
