Views for Auto Parts Shop Owners, Counter and Buyers
A parts shop has several people working on the same bill, part and ledger. Each role sees what it needs, and permissions limit who can change prices, discounts and stock.
One set of records, different screens
What a role can change
Permissions are set for each role, so a new hire at the counter cannot change a price list or adjust a stock count by accident. Raising a bill is open to the counter. Changing a price list, giving a large discount or adjusting stock after a count can be kept for a manager or the owner.
On a phone
Owners and managers can check sales, stock and balances from a phone. The counter works on a screen at the shop. Phones are for checking. Which screens appear on a phone is agreed with the client.
What the client sets
The shop decides who gets which role. Roles can be adjusted when staff change. Each change to a price, a bill or a stock count carries the user’s name and the date.
Frequently asked questions
Can cost prices be hidden from the counter?
Yes. Cost and margin can be limited to the owner and chosen managers, while the counter sees selling prices only.
Can a branch manager see other branches?
The owner decides this. By default a manager sees the branch they run.
Can a role be added later?
Yes. A new role, such as a delivery boy who confirms drops, is added by GullySystem staff once you ask.
Is there a record of who changed a price?
Yes. Price, discount and stock changes are logged with the user’s name and the date.
