CCTV Quotations and Bill of Material
A CCTV quotation is part price list and part material count. This module builds one from the survey, keeps each revision, and shows which version the customer finally approved.
What goes on the quotation
Revisions and approval
Customers add a camera and drop two. Each change creates a new revision, and the office can see who raised it and when. Only one revision is marked approved, and the job card and the invoice are built from that one. A revision that changes the camera count also changes cable metres, connectors and labour days, and the office watches all of that move together. A quotation that goes nowhere is marked lost against its reason, whether price, a competing dealer or a postponed shifting.
Who uses it
What the quotation does not decide
- Your margins, which stay in the rate list the owner controls
- Tax treatment of a supply with fitting, which your advisor settles
- Whether a customer gets credit beyond the agreed balance
- Brand availability at the distributor on the day of purchase
Frequently asked questions
Can a quotation be sent as a PDF?
Yes. It prints on your letterhead and goes out over WhatsApp or email from the same screen. A copy stays on the site record.
How many revisions can a quotation carry?
As many as the customer asks for. Every version stays readable, and only one of them is marked approved.
Does it hold separate rates for dealers and retail customers?
Yes. Rate lists can be set by customer type, and the office picks the list when a quotation opens.
Can a lost quotation be reopened?
Yes. If the customer returns months later, the old version is reopened and the reason recorded earlier stays visible.
