Shaving E-commerce & Subscription Software

This solution lets a shaving seller link razor handles to the cartridges that fit them, sell starter kits and run refill subscriptions that a customer can pause, skip or change. Discovery decides which platform it sits on.

Product status

Configured implementation on a commerce platform chosen in discovery

Razor-and-refill subscriptions are not part of any GullySystem product today. The fit rules and delivery schedules are built on the platform you and we agree on in discovery, and what it cannot do is scoped separately.

There is no published price, free trial or live demo for this solution. Scope and cost are settled in a written proposal after discovery.

Purpose and users

A razor is bought once and its cartridges are bought for years. The system holds that link, so a refill always matches the handle and arrives when the old one wears out.

It covers the storefront, compatibility, subscriptions and billing schedules. It does not give shaving advice, and it does not decide how often a customer should change a blade.

Modules

What is in the system.

Fit table

Handles and the cartridges, blades and refills that fit them.

Starter kit builder

A handle, cartridges and a cream sold as one kit, with each part counted.

Subscription engine

Refill schedules a customer can skip, pause, swap or cancel.

Billing schedule

Recurring charges with retries and notices, through the gateway’s recurring facility.

Subscriber desk

A view of each subscriber’s plan, next delivery and past parcels.

Workflows

How the work runs through it.

Handle to subscription

A customer buys a handle, picks a cartridge pack and a schedule, and is billed and shipped on each date.

Skip and swap

A subscriber skips a delivery or changes the cartridge, and the next charge and stock reservation follow.

Catalogue and product data

What each product record holds.

Handle and refill link

Each handle lists the cartridges and blades it takes, and each cartridge lists its handles.

Kits

A starter kit is made from separate stock lines.

Discontinued models

A retired handle remains on file so its refills stay searchable.

Pricing and order rules

How prices and orders are set.

Plan pricing

Each plan has a price per delivery, and any saving over buying singly is shown as a figure you set.

Pause and cancel rules

How long a pause may last and when a cancel takes effect are rules you decide.

Price changes

A change to a refill price gives subscribers notice before it applies.

Stock and fulfilment

From stock to the doorstep.

Forward reservation

Stock for upcoming deliveries is projected so shortages are seen before they happen.

Scheduled dispatch

Subscription parcels are packed on dispatch days, not as each charge clears.

Blade handling

Blades go in sealed packs and cartons that carry the right packing note.

Payments, returns and refunds

Taking money and giving it back.

Recurring payment

Repeat charges use the gateway’s stored-method facility, where the provider offers it.

Failed charges

A failed payment triggers a retry and a message, then a pause, by rules you set.

Returns

A return of an unopened refill is checked against the subscription and the order.

Admin controls and reporting

What the team can see and change.

Subscriber counts

Active, paused and cancelled subscribers, by plan.

Forward demand

Upcoming deliveries by cartridge type, to guide purchasing.

Integrations

What it connects to, and on what terms.

Payment gateway

Recurring billing is set up where your provider supports it, after tests on its sandbox.

Carrier service

Booking and tracking for scheduled dispatches, once the carrier’s interface is checked.

Messaging

Delivery and payment notices by email, SMS or WhatsApp.

Deployment

How it is set up and run.

Hosting

Hosted by us, or run from a cloud subscription you hold.

Pilot

A small group of subscribers first, before the full base is moved over.

Customisation boundaries

What can change, and where the edge is.

What can change

Plans, skip limits, notice periods and kit contents follow how you want to sell.

Where the edge is

Consumer rights on recurring charges are checked by your adviser for each market. The software applies the rules you set.

Migration and training

Moving over and getting people ready.

Bringing subscribers over

Existing subscribers are loaded with their plan and next date, and a sample is checked by hand.

Training

Sessions for the subscriber desk on skips, swaps and failed payments.

Support scope

What support covers.

Support terms

A written sheet covers contacts, hours and the fixes included.

Beyond support

New plan types or markets are quoted on their own.

Common questions

Questions about this solution.

Is this a ready product?

No. It is configured on a platform, and anything the platform lacks is quoted as custom work.

Can customers cancel any time?

Cancellation terms are your decision, within whatever consumer rules apply, which your adviser verifies.

Does it work out when a blade needs changing?

No. The schedule is chosen by the customer or by you. The software does not judge wear.
