Appliance Delivery Installation and Demo Visits
A set sold at the counter still has to reach the house, be fitted and be shown to the buyer. Each of those steps carries its own date.
The three visits
How a visit is scheduled
Once a bill is saved, the set appears on a pending list with the address, the phone number and the accessories that must travel with it. The showroom assigns a date, a van and a fitter, and a message goes to the buyer with the slot agreed. A visit that could not be done is marked with a reason and returns to the list. Nothing drops off quietly.
Who works from it
What the dealer sets up
- Which visits a sale needs, from delivery through to demo
- Who may change a slot already agreed with a buyer
- Whether a brand fitter or your own technician attends
- The reasons staff can give for a failed visit
What the module does not cover
It does not track the van on a map and it does not plan the driver’s route. Where a dealer wants live location, that rests on a device or a phone app outside the showroom system, and the fit is confirmed during scoping. Warranty counts from the date recorded here. Brand service terms stay with the brand.
Frequently asked questions
Can delivery and fitting fall on different days?
Yes. Each visit carries its own date, so a set delivered today can be fitted when the fitter is free.
What if the buyer is not at home?
The visit is marked failed with a reason and returns to the pending list for a fresh slot.
Does a message go to the buyer?
Yes, where WhatsApp or text messaging is connected. The slot and the fitter’s name can both be sent.
Is the installation date used anywhere else?
Yes. Warranty and service reminders count from it rather than from the billing date.
