Appliance Service and Repair Job Cards
A service call starts with a fault and a serial. What follows sits on one job card: who attended, what was replaced and whether the set went to the brand centre.
What a job card holds
Jobs that leave the showroom
Some faults cannot be settled in the shop, and the set travels to the brand service centre or to a specialist workshop in the city. It stays open with the date it went, the docket the centre gave and the return expected. A buyer who rings for news gets an answer from that record. Open jobs are visible to the owner.
Who works the jobs
What the dealer sets up
- The fault list the call desk picks from
- Visit and labour charges for out-of-warranty work
- Who may waive a charge on a goodwill repair
- Which brands take sets into their own service centre
What service jobs do not do
The module records repairs and does not diagnose a fault for the technician. Diagnosis stays with the technician. Charges come from the list your showroom sets, and a goodwill waiver stays a decision the owner takes on the day. What a brand service centre accepts rests with that centre.
Frequently asked questions
Can a job be opened without a bill?
Yes. A set bought elsewhere can be taken in, and the job is then treated as paid work.
How are spares counted?
Parts issued against a job leave the store count, which shows the owner what each repair consumed.
What happens when a set goes to the brand centre?
The job stays open with the despatch date and the docket number until the set comes back.
Do technicians work from a phone?
Yes. Each reads the jobs assigned and closes them with a note from the field.
