Overtime Settled by the Record, Not by Argument

The B shift ran two hours over. The supervisor remembers it one way and the worker another, and the figure that reaches the salary sheet is whoever spoke last.

Whoever spoke last

Overtime is the argument that comes back every month. A man is certain he stayed until eight on three days. His supervisor is certain about two of them. Nobody is lying. Both are remembering a fortnight later, and the salary sheet needs a number by Saturday.

What the rules do

Your grace period

Ten minutes, fifteen, or none at all. Set once and applied to everybody, which is the only way it stays fair.

Late marks and half days

Counted by your rule rather than by who is asking, and shown on the day they happened.

Hours past the shift

Counted against the shift he was rostered on, by person and by day, so a claim can be opened and looked at.

Visible before month end

Overtime sits on screen through the month, so a section running two hours over every night is noticed in the second week.

What the owner reads

  • Overtime hours by shift, supervisor and month
  • Late marks by person, where a pattern is worth a conversation
  • The monthly muster, with overtime beside days present
  • Overtime that is rising, branch by branch
  • The same hours exported for payroll, unchanged
FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Does it pay overtime at single or double rate?

It does not pay anything. The hours are counted here, and the rate they are paid at is a payroll decision made where the salary is calculated. Whatever your consultant applies today carries on unchanged.

Can overtime rules differ by branch?

Yes. Shift timings, grace period and overtime rules follow the policy you already use, and a factory branch often runs on different rules from the office.

What about a man who comes in on a holiday?

The day is marked as worked. Whether it becomes comp off or paid overtime follows your own policy, and a comp off goes to his leave balance.

Can staff see their own overtime?

Yes, on the portal, beside the leave balance and the shift roster. It saves the conversation at the HR desk on the 1st.
