Reports for Furniture Showroom Owners and Managers
Sales, balances, stock, quotations, deliveries and complaints are reported from the same order records. Each report reads the entries made at the counter, in the godown and by the delivery crew.
Reports from one set of records
A furniture business usually answers owner questions from several places: sales from the bills, stock from the godown register and balances from the order book. Here the figures come from the orders, advances, stock counts and trips that staff have already entered. Pending money and deliveries due are answered from one place.
The reports
Who acts on each report
Owners read sales and stock value across showrooms. Accounts follow pending balances until they clear. Salespeople use the quotation report to see which open quotes still need a call before the customer decides elsewhere. Warehouse managers read stock by location, and delivery supervisors read the week’s deliveries. Complaint ageing goes to whoever assigns technicians.
What the figures depend on
- Orders, advances and stock counts must be entered for a report to be complete
- A balance shows as pending until a payment is recorded against the order
- Reports beyond this list can be added where the data is held, and are scoped with the business
Frequently asked questions
Are the reports live?
Yes. Each report reads the live order records, and a new entry shows once it is saved.
Can display pieces be left out of the stock report?
Yes. Display pieces are marked on their own and shown separately from sellable stock.
Can a report be limited to one showroom?
Yes. Reports can be read by showroom, and which locations a person sees is set by their role.
Can we ask for a report that is not listed?
Yes, as long as the showroom already enters what the report needs. Extra reports are agreed during scoping.
