Retail Products and Stock for Hair Salons
Shampoos, serums, combs and styling products sold at the counter are counted from purchase to sale. Stock falls when the bill is saved, and reorder levels warn the owner before a shelf is empty.
What is recorded
Each product has a name, brand, size and selling price. Stock comes in against a supplier purchase and goes out against a bill.
Counting what is on the shelf
A physical count can be entered against the system figure at any time. Differences are listed, so a bottle that left without a bill is noticed by the manager. Barcodes help where the salon has them, and a label printer can be connected for products that arrive without a code.
Where it connects
- Billing reduces stock without a second entry.
- Commission picks up product incentives.
- The client’s profile lists products they bought.
- Reorder lists can go to the owner by message.
What the client sets up
The salon supplies its product list, prices and reorder levels. The software does not place orders with suppliers by itself. Expiry dates can be recorded for products that carry one, and how closely the salon watches them is its own decision.
Frequently asked questions
Is retail stock kept apart from colour stock?
Yes. Products for sale and colour used at the chair are separate lists, because one is sold across the counter and the other is consumed during a service.
Can we use a barcode scanner at the counter?
Yes, where the products carry barcodes. The scanner is confirmed during scoping.
Does it order from suppliers automatically?
No. It lists what is low. The owner or manager places the order with the supplier.
