How commission is worked out
The rate a salon pays differs by trade and by person. Some pay a share of each service. Others pay a fixed amount for particular services and a salary on top. The rule is entered the way the salon pays today.
Attendance and advances
Attendance is marked at the front desk or taken from a biometric device if the salon uses one. Leave, half days and weekly offs are recorded. An advance given to a stylist is entered with its date and recovered at month end as the owner decides, so nothing sits in a separate notebook.

What the owner decides
The software applies the rates it is given and does not set them. Which services earn commission, how tips are shared and what happens to commission on a refunded bill are all the owner’s rules. Statutory dues on salary are a matter for the salon’s accountant.

Can commission be different for each stylist?
Yes. Rates can be set by stylist, by service or by category, so that each person is paid the way the owner agreed with them when they joined the salon.
What happens to commission if a bill is cancelled?
The owner decides. The service can be removed from the stylist’s count, or kept, and the rule is set up with you.
Can tips be recorded?
Yes. A tip can be entered on the bill and credited to the stylist. How tips are shared is the salon’s own policy.
Is a biometric device required?
No. Attendance can be marked by hand at the desk. A device is connected only if the salon already uses one.
