Frequently asked questions
Does escalation get the work done faster?
Not by itself. It puts the job in front of somebody with the authority to move it and removes the excuse that nobody knew. If housekeeping is two people short at night, escalation will only tell you that more clearly.
Can urgent jobs skip the queue?
Urgency goes on the job when it is raised and it decides the clock. An emergency in a theatre is not left queuing behind a fan in an office.
Who gets told when a job escalates?
The supervisor first, then the person above him, by the route you set. WhatsApp, SMS and email are the usual channels, and you choose which.
Can we change the times after go-live?
Yes, and most hospitals do after the first month. The first set of times is a guess made in a meeting room. The second set comes from what the screen showed.
