Sensor variants, maker equivalents, calibration certificates and call-off orders in one record.
Quote an inductive M12 proximity sensor by flush or non-flush mounting, nominal sensing distance, PNP or NPN output and A-coded connector. Then follow it to the shelf, the cable bench and the calibration bench. Each unit carries its maker lot, serial and reference reading. One record serves the counter, the bench and stores, so a returned pressure transmitter is traced to its supplier lot.
- Part numbers, variants and equivalents loaded from your price lists
- Open orders, stock and past certificates brought across
- Certificate layouts and limits reviewed with your own calibration staff
GullySystem is set up around a sensor supplier’s catalogue. It holds variants and maker equivalents, stock by maker lot, overmoulded cable builds, and calibration certificates tied to serials and deadweight testers. Releases against a yearly quantity, and claims on returned units, stay linked to the maker lot behind them.
What goes wrong before the software.
How the work flows through it, step by step.
- 1
Enquiry
A buyer sends a part number or a plain need such as a 4 to 20 mA gauge-pressure transmitter. Equivalents appear beside the match. The quotation names the exact variant, plug and cordset length.
- 2
Order
The order records variant, quantity, cordset instructions and any calibration span. Blanket orders hold a yearly total and a release schedule that sales and stores both see.
- 3
Pick or build
Stock is picked by variant and maker lot. Cable cutting, crimping and plug fitting follow the stored build at the bench, and the finished cordset gets a continuity check before it is bagged.
- 4
Calibrate
Units needing calibration are read against a reference instrument across the set span, at zero, mid-range and full scale. Readings, the instrument and the technician are saved to each serial.
- 5
Certify and ship
Certificates and datasheets are attached. The delivery note lists serials and lots, so the buyer’s goods-in clerk can match every unit to its paperwork at the dock.
- 6
Return
A returned unit is logged with lot, serial and symptom, such as zero drift or a dead output. Claims to the maker carry the full lot trace and the bench photographs.
What is inside.
Every module can be switched on, left out or changed to match how your team already works.
The business modules it is built from.
Each one is also available on its own, or inside a system built for you.
- Product Management
Each part number is held with its thread, sensing distance, output and plug options, so the counter picks a variant instead of typing a code from memory.
- Price Lists and Schemes
Price lists and special rates are kept per account and per sensor family, and a quotation picks the agreed figure without anyone phoning the owner.
- Stock Tracking and Alerts
Stock is held by exact variant and maker lot, with reorder levels, so the counter sees what is truly on the shelf and what is sitting in transit.
- Bill of Materials
A stored build lists the sensor, the cable length, the plug and the wiring, and a repeat order starts from that definition instead of a scribbled slip.
- Quality Control
Readings are entered against a reference instrument and the span set for the unit, with units beyond their accuracy limit held back from the shelf.
- Batch and Serial Tracking
A certificate is tied to the unit serial and the instrument used, and the maker lot behind that unit appears on the very same record.
- Order Management
A customer’s yearly total is held, each call-off reduces the balance, and every desk sees the remaining quantity before a release leaves the dock.
- Purchase Order Management
Orders to makers are raised against reorder levels, and goods are received against the order with the maker lot recorded before putaway.
How we would put it in.
Setup, data migration, integrations and anything built on top.
One system, each person sees their part.
For counter and sales staff
Find equivalents, check stock by exact variant and quote with the datasheet attached. Ask nobody for the old code.
For the build bench
See the stored cordset build for an order, follow it at the crimping station and mark the assembly complete after the continuity test.
For calibration technicians
Enter readings against a reference instrument, compare them with the unit’s accuracy limit and issue the certificate under your own template.
For stores
Receive stock by maker lot and pick each order by exact variant. Short and damaged cartons are noted at the dock before the driver leaves.
For purchasing
Raise maker orders against reorder levels and chase late deliveries before the counter runs out of a common M12 or M18 housing.
The numbers the owner asks for.
- Stock by variant and maker lot
- Yearly totals by balance and release
- Certificates issued by reference instrument
- Quotations lost for want of a variant
- Returns by lot and symptom
- Cordset builds repeated by customer
Who this is built for.
- Distributors of inductive, photoelectric and ultrasonic sensors
- Suppliers of pressure transmitters, Pt100 probes and thermocouples
- Firms that cut cable and fit plugs to order
- Calibration-to-order sensor suppliers
- Companies supplying machine builders and plant maintenance crews
When it is not the right choice.
- A maker with its own production lines needs Sensor Manufacturer Management Software.
- A shop selling a handful of sensors a month can manage with a price list.

Questions owners ask before a demo.
Can I see equivalents while quoting?
Yes. A discontinued code shows its current successor and notes on what differs, such as plug, switching distance or pinout. The quotation names the successor and attaches its datasheet.
Does stock show exact variants?
Yes. Stock is held by full variant, meaning thread, sensing distance, output polarity and plug, together with the maker lot. The counter sees only what is truly on the shelf.
How are cable builds stored?
A build holds cut length, jacket, plug, pin assignment, drain wire termination and test notes. A repeat order opens the stored build, and the bench follows it step by step.
What does a calibration certificate record?
Span, readings at each test point, the reference instrument and its due date, the technician and the unit serial. The layout follows your own template.
How do blanket orders work?
The customer’s yearly total is held, and each call-off reduces the balance. Any desk sees the remaining quantity before it ships a release, so the total is not overshot by accident.
Can a faulty lot be traced to customers?
Searching by maker lot lists every customer and serial that received it. Sales can then phone each plant before a second failure turns up.
Does it handle maker claims?
Yes. A return is logged with lot, symptom and evidence such as bench photographs. The claim to the maker is raised from that record.
Is there a web shop for buyers?
No, not as standard. A web catalogue for buyers is a separate quotation, and whether you want one is decided at the opening workshop.
How is our catalogue loaded?
Part numbers, variants and cross-references come from your price lists and maker catalogues. Counter staff check a sample of rows against the shelf labels before go-live.
What does a demonstration cover?
A short session using some of your own part numbers, one cordset build and one calibrated transmitter. Costing goes on paper only after you have seen it work and fixed users and modules.
