Reports for Paint Dealer Owners and Counter Staff

These reports are read off the stock, tinting jobs, invoices and claims the shop already enters. Nothing has to be typed a second time to produce them.

Selling and tinting

Two reports cover what left the shop and what was mixed for it. Both run for a period you pick, and both read from the invoices and dispensing jobs your counter already entered during that period.

Sales by company, product and pack

Which products and pack sizes moved over a period, by company. A twenty litre bucket and a one litre tin of the same product read as separate lines. They sell quite differently.

Tinting jobs by shade and operator

How many packs were dispensed, in which shades, and by whom. Shades that come up again and again are worth keeping base stock for. That is worth knowing early.

Stock and consumption

Stock on hand, shop and godown

What each place holds, with slow products marked by how long they have sat. Goods out on a challan are shown apart from both.

Base and colourant consumed

Colourant drawn and base packs used over a period, against the bottles received from the depot. A gap points to purging, spillage or spoiled tins.

Leakage, damage and unsold tinted packs

Everything on the returns list by reason, with what was claimed, sold off or written away. The reason travels with each line.

Money and claims

Painter and contractor balances by age

Who owes what, grouped by how long it has stood, with the limit beside each balance, so a collection round can be planned without pulling out the ledger book.

Scheme claims put up, settled and pending

Every claim with its scheme, the figure put up, the credit note received and any difference between the two. Differences are not hidden.

How the figures behave

  • A report shows what your staff have entered up to that moment.
  • A period can be picked, and the same report run for one shop or both.
  • Figures can be taken out as a spreadsheet for your accountant.
  • No report predicts sales or suggests what to buy next.
FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Can a report be sent to the owner every morning?

Yes. A daily figure can go by message or mail, and which report goes is settled with you.

Is margin shown on sales reports?

Only to those the owner permits, and it is worked from the landed cost your staff enter on receiving.

Can we compare this quarter with the last one?

Yes. Two periods can be put side by side on sales, tinting and purchase reports.

Does a new report cost extra?

A report outside the standard set is quoted once you describe the columns and the period you want.
