Bed Booking and Availability for PGs
Booking management records enquiries, checks room and bed availability, and holds a bed against a joining date. A tenant is confirmed from the same screen, without a paper register.
What an enquiry is answered from
Booking by bed, not by room
A booking is made against the bed. A triple-sharing room is three separate places, each with its own tenant and its own rate. Once a bed is held, it leaves the list the warden sees on his phone.
Lists the manager reviews
- Beds held for a joining date that has not been confirmed
- Tenants joining this week, so rooms are cleaned before arrival
- Beds becoming free from notice dates already recorded
- Free beds by sharing type, when a room type is being reconsidered
What it does not do
The module is not a listing portal. Your PG is not published on property websites, and no enquiries are generated. It records bookings and stops one bed from being promised to two people. That is the scope.
Frequently asked questions
Can we hold a bed before the tenant pays anything?
Yes. The hold carries her name and the joining date, and it stays until you confirm the booking or release the bed.
Can two PGs on the same road answer one enquiry?
Yes. Availability is read by property, block and sharing type together, so a request for a triple room can be met from whichever building has a free bed.
What if the tenant joins a week later than planned?
Change the date on the booking. You choose whether the bed stays held or returns to the free list, and billing starts from the actual move-in day.
