Reports for Printing Press Owners and Managers
The estimates, job cards, stock entries and invoices that the press already records feed these reports. Owners and managers read them to see where work is held up and where money is waiting.

Who reads which report
The press manager works from jobs in hand and machine booking. Stores reads the paper stock report. The accounts clerk works from dues and from outside work charges. The owner reads all of them, and the estimate against actual report most closely. Access follows the role the owner gives each person.
What the figures reflect
A report shows what has been entered. A job whose stages were not marked will look stuck at the press when it has in fact gone to packing. Further reports are possible wherever the press records the figures needed. They are scoped with the press before they are built.
Frequently asked questions
Are the figures current as the day goes on?
Yes. Reports read from the same records that the counter, stores and operators update, so they change as entries are made on the floor and at the desk.
Can a report be limited to one machine or one customer?
Yes. They can be filtered by machine, customer, job type and date range. A saved view is available for the filters the manager uses most.
Can reports be exported for the accountant?
Yes. Reports can be downloaded as spreadsheets or PDFs. What the accountant wants in each is settled during implementation.
Does the system produce a profit and loss account?
No. It shows job costing and dues. The press’s books and statutory accounts stay with the accountant.
