Mapping Students to Stops and Buses
Each child is mapped to a stop and a bus for the morning trip, the evening trip or both. Seats are counted for every bus, and the term fee is raised against the mapping.
What the mapping decides
Mid-term changes
A family moves and wants a different stop from Monday. The front office changes the mapping, and seat counts on both buses move with it. The fee follows the slab of the new stop. The attendant sees the change on her trip list the next morning.
Decisions that stay with the in-charge
Whether a young child should walk to a stop, whether a bus can take one more on a hill road, and whether siblings travel together are not rules. It counts seats and holds the list. The transport in-charge decides who goes where.

Can a child use a different stop on the return trip?
Yes. Mapping is per trip, so the morning and evening stops can differ.
What about a new admission joining mid-year?
The front office maps the child to a stop and a bus, and the term fee is raised from that point by the slab. The child appears on the attendant’s list the next morning.
Where do parent numbers come from?
From the transport record, loaded with the student list before the term. Checking those numbers is a task for your office, and messages depend on it.
