Somebody compares two sheets in December and finds a boy who has ridden all year on a seat nobody charged for. The fee comes off the seat, so that gap closes in week one.
How the amount is arrived at
The slab of the stop
Each stop belongs to a distance slab, and the slab sets the fee. A child four kilometres out and a child fourteen do not pay the same.
Morning, evening or both
Trip type changes the amount. A child who rides one way is charged for one way.
Raised per term
For the term, against the children holding a seat that term. Not a list somebody types out again in October.
Concessions as rules
Sibling and staff concessions are set once and applied. Not remembered by whoever is at the counter when the father arrives.
Collection and the dues list
Parents pay online, by UPI or at the counter, and each payment leaves a receipt in the series your accountant already uses. Dues read by route, by class and by term, so the office is calling people while the term is still running. Collections by term and mode export for Tally, and your accountant agrees those ledgers during set-up rather than afterwards.
Nobody is taken off the bus by software
A child who has not paid appears on the dues list, plainly, with the route and the parent’s number. What happens next is a conversation between your office and that family, and it should be. The software is there so the conversation happens in September instead of in December.

Yes, online or by UPI, with your gateway connected at set-up, or at the counter. Either way a receipt goes back and the dues list updates from the same entry.

The fee is raised from when the seat is taken, by the slab of their stop. How a part term is charged is your rule, set up the way your office already does it.
